Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s bid for the Kajang state seat, and possibly the Selangor Mentri Besar’s post, looks to have come to an abrupt end after he was found guilty of committing sodomy. His own lawyers agree he is no longer eligible to stand although the Election Commission is still studying the matter. Anwar says he and other Pakatan leaders will name a new candidate.
